DC Design House - Kelley Proxmire

Another designer whose room I loved in this year's DC Design House is Kelley Proxmire. She is a prominent designer in the DC area, who has been designing for over 20 years and was recently inducted into the Washington Design Center Hall of Fame.

Kelley designed the family living room using a tailored brown and white color scheme. In her website, where I was also able to find images of her room, she says that she envisioned the living room "as a “His and Her” family sitting room, an elegant retreat where the Mr. and Mrs. can read, write and relax in comfort and style."

Here is some of her work from her portfolio:

Loving all of the yellow in this dining nook!

Another great example of Kelley's tailored elegance.

Such a soothing bedroom!

Kelley loves dark, dramatic walls.

There is lots more to see on her porfolio here.
