My favorite part of the room are the curtains. You can't tell from the rendering, but they were made of an Ikat fabric, and it was a great compliment to the rest of the more traditional space. I also liked that the designer used grasscloth wallpaper, as it adds such great texture to the room. The ceiling is pretty neat too.
Victoria is from DC and studied Interior Design locally at Marymount University. Her work is described as "European refinement for everyday living," which is apparent in her work:
What a gorgeous bathroom!
How neat is that headboard?
A "ladies shoe closet"...every girl's dream!
See more of her work here.
That concludes my posts from this year's Design House, but I plan to keep highlighting local designers. It seems that most of my favorite designers are in California or New York, so it's great to see so much talent right here in DC!
