Hello! I'm so excited Brazil is playing their first game in the World Cup today! Many of you probably don't know, but I'm Brazilian, and even though I have been in the U.S. for several years, I still, of course, hold a special place in my heart for my dear country.
Recently, a friend let me borrow a book on Brazilian design, Living in Bahia, and I thought today was the perfect day to show you a few images from it.
Ahh! Makes me miss my country (though I lived in the city and it was nothing like this!)
Are you following the World Cup?
What beautiful spaces to escape into! I'm adding that book to my Amazon wish list!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! But it was a very very "poor" match...Let's hope for something better next Sunday!
ReplyDeleteHave you heard of a small town called Tiradentes in Minas Gerais? I love buying furniture there. We like mixing modern pieces with their colonial or antique pieces. I will take some pictures during our next visit and send them to you, ok? Take care and Força Brasil!
Ane, I have heard of Tiradentes but have never been. I would love to see pictures when you go! I am always looking for inspirational images of Brazilian interior design.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah...let's hope the team does better on Sunday!
